About KE6BXT

I guess this page is where I am supposed to tell you a little about myself.

My name is Don Hill and I have an Amateur Radio license with the call letters of KE6BXT. Hence the KE6BXT.com. I got my first (Technician) license in 1993 and upgraded to Amateur Extra in 2007.

Packet radio got me into HAM radio. That was email before there was in internet.  Then I got interested in Amateur Television and I served as president of the Amateur Television Network for five years.

I also enjoy SSTV (Slow Scan Television), PACKET, APRS, WINLINK, D-Star, Amateur satellites, and on occasionally some 20 and 40 meter HF.

For the last few years I have been involved in MESH networking and am the founder of the Orange County Mesh Organization. http://ocmesh.org

I am a member of SOARA (The South Orange Amateur Radio Association) and the Mission Viejo RACES/ARES group.

I have developed several HAM Radio web sites (in addition to this fantastic one) that you may want to check out.
