Dr. Kalyan Dey had done is Ph.D from Gauhati University under the guidance of Prof. B. Bhattacharjee and Prof. Subhasis Chattopadhyay. During his Ph.D he contributed to the design of MUON CHAMBER (a muon detector) for the Compressed Baryonic Matter (CBM) experiment. In the year 2014, he joined Bodoland University as Assistant Professor of Physics and actively engaged both in teaching, research and other academic activities. He served as the Head of the Department during 2017-2020.
