Thank you for taking an interest in the MERIT Program 2014, a year-long professional development program for teachers. MERIT starts with an orientation class May 2, 2014 and then really kicks off big with the two-week summer institute, July 7- July 18, 2014. The fun and learning continues with follow-up sessions and other classes in the following academic year, October 2014 - April 2015.
Before starting your online application, you should download the .docx template of the application questions and items you will need to complete the form (Download the .docx file at the bottom of this page). There are a series of open-ended questions below that require you to provide answers in 150 words (or less). We recommend working on your answers in this separate document and then cutting and pasting them into the form before submitting. Most word processing applications will count the words for you.
The members of the 2010 Cohort made some suggestions to you for completing your application that might be useful to you.
NOTE: Be aware there is no way to save a partially submitted form; please be ready to answer all questions when you plan to submit your application. You are also required to have your principal complete a separate form supporting your application by the same due date/time.
Your completed application is due by 11:59p on Monday, January 20, 2014.
