KayakEd-Sea Kayak Instruction and Greenland Kayaking Mentoring

About me

I am an ACA Level 4 Coastal Kayak Instructor located in North Central Florida. I specialize in sea kayaking strokes, rescues, boat control and rolling.

I was a principal Instructor for the Jersey Paddler in Brick NJ until relocating to Florida. I taught various classes at the inaugural Garden State Sea Kayak Symposium in 2013.

I am a Greenland Kayaking devotee and have the ACA Traditional Skills endorsement. I have mentored at the Delmarva Paddlers Retreat, HRGF (Hudson River Greenland Festival) and TIPS (Traditional Inuit Paddlers of the Southeast) for several years.

I am the organizer of the annual Traditional Qajaqers of the South (TRAQS) event. TRAQS is an immersive Greenland kayaking weekend that includes a series of land and on-water workshops, lodging and meals as well as all instruction. We also offer a full day Greenland paddle making class led by a nationally known paddle maker. This year's event will take place March 18-20 in beautiful Lake Placid Fl. See this link for more information: http://traditionalqajaqingfest.org/

I am also a former President of the Jersey Shore Sea Kayak Association and a member of the Tampa Bay Sea Kayakers.

Check out the course descriptions and upcoming schedule of classes. I can also arrange custom or individual classes.
