BIO

Katarína Borovičková is assistant professor at New York University. She received an MSc in mathematics from the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, an MA in economics from CERGE-EI, Charles University, Prague, and a PhD in economics from University of Chicago. Her research focuses on macroeconomics and labor economics. She seeks to understand the nature of duration dependence in different areas of economics, including job finding probability and the probability of changing the price of a product, or studies the drivers of the business cycle fluctuations of the unemployment rate, focusing on risk premia.
