Seminar at Northeastern Marine Lab

I'm on my way home from a fun visit at Northeastern Marine Lab, where I learned about some exciting new research is being done in the HugBro, Vollmer, Ries, Helmuth, and Gouhier Labs. The most fascinating research I learned about was probably Tarik Gouhier's models on designing effective reserve networks for marine metacommunities, which predict that effective reserve size and spacing should be based on the autocorrelation in adult abundance rather than dispersal distance.
