High school teachers learn research skills in the lab

Banafsheh (left) and Jo-Anne (right) are high school teachers from local districts, and interned in our lab over the summer to learn more about our research. In these pictures, they are helping us filter oyster larvae from a pilot experiment. Together we will be putting on a workshop about genomics for girls from underprivileged school districts this February!
