Katie R. Genadek

I am an economist and the director of the Decennial Census Digitization and Linkage (DCDL) project at the U.S. Census Bureau and a faculty research associate at the Institute for Behavioral Science at the University of Colorado - Boulder. I work on the creation, linkage, and dissemination of large person-level microdata, and I am passionate about documenting Census Bureau and administrative data. My research is focused on family, fertility, work, and policy impacts on women’s well-being. I have ongoing work in areas of couples’ time spent together, women's wages over the life course, demographic measurement, and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on work and time use. I also analyze the effects of family planning policies with the Colorado Fertility Project and M-CARES
