News: I've been named an Artist in Residence for Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area for 2016.

Landscapes form the majority of my work, particularly the oils.  Many of these are plein air or began that way, but not all are purely representational.  The subject or location is often a point of departure for a painting that takes its own direction, and finds its own destination.

I've been painting professionally since 2003.  My work has won awards, and resides in private and corporate collections in the U.S. and Europe. I was the first Artist in Residence at Cabrillo National Monument, 2012.  Available paintings from that residency can be seen by clicking on "Cabrillo" among the menus for various subjects at the top and bottom of each page.  The entire body of work from the Cabrillo residency is listed and described on my blog, here.
