As a translator
Living in the Tokaj Wine Region I have the pleasure to work closely with winemakers, discovering the wonderful world of Tokaji wines and exciting events. This experience, combined with my love of language, helps me translate creatively, ensuring that the original message is carefully crafted. Just like Tokaji wines.

As a teacher
After finishing my degree in German and Modern History (2:1) at the University of Edinburgh, I qualified as a teacher of English as a foreign language to adults in Cairo. A few years later I gained my DELTA diploma at International House Budapest, along with a Business English teaching certificate. I worked in Cairo, Portugal, Budapest and Eger (Director of Education), taught both small groups and individuals, and created tailor-made courses for business students.
My community experience includes being
- a co-founder of the Tokaj-Hegyalja Market and writer of the English blog,
- creator/administrator of our website Tokaj wine region.com and Tokaj Wine Region Facebook
to promote the wine region events,
- involved in sustainable development e.g. seed swap, gatherings.
I am fascinated by communication and in working with people in order to improve the environment in which we live. Most of the year I am in beautiful Sárospatak, Tokaj Wine Region, but - like a migratory bird as a friend once remarked - I usually spend winters in the UK to keep living relationship with family and old friends - and, of course, to enjoy the language.
