Professional Philosophy
My goal is to take every opportunity - be it during a reference interaction or an instruction session - to enhance the library user's knowledge about library services and resources.  I feel that the most important aspect of my job is enthusiastically teaching students about the world of information: searching for it, evaluating it, and using it properly.  I aspire to provide excellent and personable service to students and library users, to be helpful and friendly to all, and to be sensitive about issues of patron privacy and cultural diversity. I also endeavor to provide "techno-therapy," enhancing the comfort and proficiency with technology for library users who are computer-shy.
