  • Member of Prof. Dewey Cornell’s research group working on Virginia-wide project studying school climate and youth violence
    • Virginia Secondary School Climate Study is a multi-year comprehensive survey of school climate and student safety measures across all public middle schools and high schools in Virginia.
    • Mainly involved with complex data management, data analysis, technical report writing, and writing research papers 
  • Member of research and evaluation team, Virginia Initiative for Science Teaching and Achievement (VISTA) project. Advisor: Professor Timothy Konold. 
    • VISTA is focused on improving science instruction through professional development that was offered to educators across Virginia. 
    • Serving as part of the evaluation team that is conducting a multi-year randomized control trial (RCT) to  evaluate the effectiveness of this inquiry-based professional training program for elementary and secondary science teachers with focus on student outcomes as measured by Virginia’s science SOL exams.

  • Administrative tasks for teachHOUSTON courses that are specially designed to address the urgent need of skilled math/science teachers in public high schools.
