I completed my PhD in Information Systems from the School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University (SMU). My advisor was Associate Prof. Rajesh Krishna Balan. The other members of my committee were Associate Prof. Archan Misra, Assistant Prof. Youngki Lee and Ed Cutrell (MSR India). My area of research is in Pervasive computing with a focus on understanding user behaviour through mobile context. My research interest includes solving real-world problems towards the practical realization and deployment of existing mobile technologies, within an enterprise or emerging markets, as well as dwell into the 'usability' and 'usefulness' attributes of these technologies .
Previously, I was part of the Convergence Research group at SETLabs, Infosys Technologies as a team lead, with a focus on developing intellectual property, conceptualizing and creating new solutions and technologies in the area of pervasive computing, enterprise mobility, and emerging technology areas such as wireless sensor networks. I have also been associated with the National University of Singapore and the Indian Institute of Science as a researcher related to TCP and wireless mesh systems.
