Being aware of what the weather is going to do is important to KAP for 2 reasons:
1. We need wind from the right quarter, of a force that will be useful without risk, and sunlight to illuminate our subject.
2. We need to know if conditions are likely to change during a KAP session- this is a big part of the judgement call on committing to a kite flight. Risk of lightning, rising winds and rain all need to be concidered.
