- Promote changes in existing practices and programs (primarily farm bill programs) to make them much more acceptable and complementary to wildlife conservation needs.
- Develop and promote recognition programs for wildlife habitat improvement initiatives. Should include a good looking sign for landowners to publicize their efforts as well as the program.
- Work to overcome the no-government-control-over-my-land attitudes by some landowners. Provide evidence (economical) that they are better off in CRP/government program than what they are currently doing.
Goal 1: Promote continuous CRP for expiring CRP contracts
Goal 2: Develop and distribute marketing information and educational materials to promote upland game and economics
Goal 3: Develop more habitat improvement teams/capabilities in NE Kansas
Goal 4: Improve brood habitat
Goal 5: Conduct upland bird workshops to promote good habitat and wildlife management activities
Goal 6: Establish incentives to encourage land management practices beneficial to upland birds
