Kansas Cowboy Poetry Contest

Preliminary Rounds:

Only those poets who qualify at one of the state’s regional qualifying contests will be eligible to compete at the state contest on June 12.  
Ellsworth Public Library at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2015 
Strong City will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Flint Hills Rodeo grounds
It is possible that one additional qualifying contest site could be announced.

Final Round: Friday, June 12, 2015

9 p.m.  Awards and Winners perform

Two Categories:  Serious and Humorous Poetry

Winners receive the coveted Governor’s Buckle

Top three receive gift certificates from leading western stores
