Research Interests: I am currently a Ph.D student at IPNNL under the excellent tutelage of Dr.Michael Manry. Machine Learning algorithms keeps me busy and my current research interest is in deep neural networks and high dimensional feature extraction algorithms mostly applied in computer vision and music processing. Besides this, i love to read Physics, Vedic Mathematics and anything that is Texan. More specifically, my research covers the following topics :
Time line: Spring 2014 - Long due paper published in ICPRAM titled "LDA Optimal Conjugate Gradient algorithm for generalization of Linear Discriminant Analysis based on L1 norm". Fall 2013 - Working on Second Order Deep Learning algorithms. Summer 2013- Worked as Visiting researcher at Music and Audio Research Lab at Seoul National University with Dr.Kyogu Lee on a topic i wanted to work for a long time, Music processing with Machine Learning. Fall 2012- PhD student in Computer Science and Engineering Department at Texas A&M University with Dr. Ricardo Osuna (PRISM lab) to work on Speech Accent Conversion. Aug 2011- 2012- Grad Engineer with the Engineering Research Group for next generation Voltage Regulator at Siemens Energy,Mississippi. Fall 2011- Graduated with my Master's in Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington. Summer 2011- Visiting Researcher at Multimedia Signal Processing Lab at Ajou University, Korea with Dr. Nojun Kwak. Spring 2011- Intern at Verizon Wireless, Irving, Texas. Fall 2010: Inducted into the Tau Beta Pi, Engineering honors society. May 2008- Aug 2009- Research Assistant in Department of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India with Dr. Prem.K.Kalra at Karma Lab |
