Kandarp Joshi, 
PhD Candidate

I am presently a Junior Research Fellow pursuing my PhD in Bioinformatics from Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) under the guidance of Dr Vinod Scaria. My current area of research is large scale pathogen genome analysis and integrated bioinformatics analysis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis genome.

I have cleared Bioinformatics National Certification (BINC) Examination conducted by Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and secured 34th rank.

I completed my Masters of Science (M.Sc.) in the field of Bioinformatics from the Department of Applied Mathematics, The Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU), Vadodara.

I received my bachelors degree of Science in Biotechnology from The Sardar Patel University (SPU), Vallabh Vidhyanagar. 

I also worked as a Project assistant for 1 year period in CSIR-Open Source Drug Discovery (OSDD) program, where I worked on Next-generation sequence analysis, pharmacogenomics and large scale data analysis.
