My research interests lie in Applied Microeconomic Theory. Within this area I focus on two broad fields described below.
Personnel and Labor Economics
My research in this area studies labor management practices and organizational structures in the modern workplace with particular focus on firms engaged in high-technology R&D and complex production processes.
More recently, my research has focused on the effectiveness of online higher education with respect to degree completion and labor market outcomes.
Public Goods and Private Markets
My research looks at the interaction between public and private goods in the market. In particular I look at motives and impact of cause-related marketing in the provision of public goods. My research also looks at public good provision in software markets such as open source software.
