ZiF Predict
  • Mentor: Prof. Jayadeva and Prof. Sundar
  • Done as part of the course Neural Network (August-November, 2010)
  • Continued the work already done by Kanav here
  • Extended the web tool for predicting DNA binding specificity in Cys2His2 Zinc Finger Proteins
  • Was able to develop a Multi-Class Support Vector based computational method with exhaustive dataset of Zn Finger Proteins and their target DNA triplets
CricView
  • Mentor: Dr. S.C. Gupta
  • Done as part of the course Database Management Systems (January-April, 2010)
  • Simulated a GUI of database for storage of cricket statistics that gets updated at the end of every match
Biometric Gait Recognition
  • Mentor: Dr. Brejesh Lall
  • Done so as to lay my hands on something during vacations (December, 2009)
  • Designed Simulink and coded for extraction of silhouette implementing Medi-Picture Algorithm (MATLAB)
  • All the processing was done using a given database consisting of real time surveillance videos
Password Verification
  • Mentor: Dr. Shouribrata Chatterjee
  • Done as part of the course Digital Electronics (August-November, 2009)
  • Designed schematic and coded (in verilog) a system on FPGA that can detect and verify a variable length password interfaced with LCD mapped onto Spartan Board using Xilinx
Humidity Control
  • Mentor: Prof. Subrat Kar
  • Foundation of project work @ IIT :) (July, 2009)
  • Design of room evacuation system by controlling humidity of room using SHT sensor, relays (as a switch to drive 2 motors) with  PIC16F57 (on  Basic Stamp kit programmed in PBasic) and 16x2 LCD to display current situation
