Welcome to the Kalona United Methodist Church website. The Kalona United Methodist Church is home to a community of believers and searchers alike, growing in grace and desiring to live a more Christ-like life. We believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only begotten Son of God, unique in all the universe, with the forgiveness of sin and the salvation of our souls the redeeming work of his cross and resurrection. The foundation for our ministry to the community, the nation, and the world around us comes from the Biblical commands to love the Lord our God, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. A special and unique example of this love is the Care Coordinators. This core group of individuals see to the needs and concerns of each church member on a regular basis.
As a missional church we believe that our outreach is a continuation of our faith in Jesus Christ who calls us to love as we have been loved. Thus, we offer a variety of educational and missional opportunities and each member is encouraged to use his or her God-given gifts and talents to serve both the church and the community.
We would like to invite you to join us on our journey of faith as we share the love of Christ with our neighbors through worship and fellowship!
We hope you and your family will have a warm and spirit-filled experience with us as we worship and fellowship together at our services, events, and ministries. We'd also like to invite you to make an online prayer request. You're prayer request opens the door, and God is waiting patiently on the other side of that door, at all times, in all situations, to join with you. Many blessings to you, Rev. Gerry Kahler, Pastor | "The Kalona United Methodist Church believes that by God's power at work within us, we are able to accomplish far more than all we can ask or imagine." |
