I have shopped there for years, mostly for the AWESOME GERMAN BREAD. It is the Best. While it's always been a nice store, it got even better under the new management. They are super friendly, have expanded the selection and sell a lot of hard-to-find items at reasonable prices. I only wish they would open another Kalinka in North San Jose ;)
So glad I found this place so close to home. Great selection of all things Eastern European. Got my Hungarian wine here, some Slovak and Polish beer, great homemade pierogis as well, both cherry and the cheese and onion kind. Nice cheese selection, as well. Also, many grocery items you can't find on the west coast easily, real Hungarian paprika, boxed mixes from EU. Nice selection of sausages and salamis, as well. They also have a fantastic dessert counter. Every time we go in there, the owner always gives me a small freebie because I am Hungarian!
