About Us

Kalinga Scouts, Cubs and Joeys is a longstanding Brisbane Group, established in 1938. We are located in beautiful Kalinga Park, Clayfield adjacent to the Bertha Street carpark.

Our historic Den was once the Post Office building for the 17th Australian Personnel Staging Camp in Kalinga Park during World War 2. Most significantly, the building was Queensland’s connection with the outside world at that time, as it was the termination point for the undersea telegraph line. Our Den is available for private hire, just go to our Hall for Hire page.

The Kalinga Scout Group have operated in the area since 1938.

Our Scouts, Cubs and Joeys come from Clayfield and surrounding suburbs including Wooloowin, Nundah, Wavell Heights and Hendra.

Today the Kalinga Group operates a Scout Troop, Cub Pack and a Joey Mob.
