Dave Reed and I met in Golden at 4 am. We drove to Mosquito Pass and north along a road at its first intersection. The intersecting road was gated. We parked and began hiking at 6:06 am. We followed the road northeast, then abandoned it and started hiking directly towards the summit.
We descended Repeater Peak's north ridge and climbed Mosquito Peak's south ridge. The terrain was easy second class talus. There was an incredible inversion; clouds spread far to the east and west of the Mosquito Range.Mosquito Peak from Treasurevault Mountain
