Henry Pattison, Jr. Memorial Station
The club shack is located in room 303 of the Old Engineering building. Our small antenna "farm" is located right above the shack on the roof.
Our club shack is dedicated in honor of Henry Pattison, Jr. (W7EFV).
Our main HF rig is a Kenwood TS-2000X, connected to a Henry 3KW amplifier (excited by the TS-2000 yields about 1KW). Our antennas include a 10 meter 5-element Yagi, and two 4-element Yagis on 15 meters and 20 meters. We also have a 40 meter inverted V and an 80m sloper.
Our computer runs Ham Radio Deluxe and other software applications for digital operations on PSK31.
Additionally, we own a Yaesu VHF/UHF and 1.2 GHz transceiver used for satellite communications. It is attached to a 3D rotor system and a 14-element VHF dual-polarization yagi and a 20-element UHF dual-polarization yagi.
The shack also houses the club repeater.
If you happen to have a radio in need of some TLC, the club also features a workbench. Equipment includes a waveform monitor (HF), a Tektronics 50 MHz two-channel scope, digital multimeters, decade boxes, and much more.
