Membership in the Voice of America Amateur Radio Club is restricted to employees, retirees and former employees of the Voice of America (VOA), the International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB), the United States Information Agency (USIA), the United States Department of State (DOS) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Club meetings are held the first non-federal-holiday Tuesday of each month at 11:45 am in the club shack, located in the VOA headquarters building at 330 Independence Avenue SW in Washington.
Visitors are welcome, but please let us know in advance that you will be attending by sending an E-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The club manages the Federal Employee's Net which meets every Monday at 1130 local time on the K3VOA VHF repeater described below. If the VHF repeater is off the air for any reason, the net convenes on the UHF repeater. The net is open to and welcomes all Amateur Radio operators. One does not need to be a federal employee to participate. Please join us on the air!
