Tour a NOAA Research Vessel

Post date: Dec 5, 2016 7:19:52 PM

The NOAA Ship Rainier just returned to Yaquina Bay after a seven month field season surveying Alaskan waters. The ship will spend December through early April in her homeport of Newport, OR processing data and conducting routine maintenance. During this time, group tours of the ship will be available. This is a fantastic opportunity for educators and students to see first-hand how real scientists live, work, and collect important data about ocean ecosystems.

Tours last approximately 45 minutes and must be scheduled at least a week in advance.
