New plugins for fbpanel
There are things, like cpu usage, that I want to monitor continuously. A panel is an ideal place to put such applets but the new Gnome-Shell dropped support for most plugins. Panels can be installed in addition to the Gnome-Top-Panel; I chose to use fbpanel. Fbpanel was chosen because I had a particular panel layout in mind and fbpanel is easy to tinker with.
While this set-up of fbpanel works well enough for me, it has not been tested as, for example, a bottom panel. There is no GUI to install or set-up the panel. This means that very few people will be interested enough to do the work needed to use any of this stuff. Therefore I'm just going to make the parts available and see what happens.
