I am currently an associate professor of economics at San Jose State University.    My research focuses on monetary theory, experimental macroeconomics, and complex systems / agent-based modeling including money search models that explore multi-currency economies and alternative currencies.  Previously, I worked in the software industry in Silicon Valley for 10 years as a software product manager.

I have an undergraduate degree in economics from Stanford University, an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, and a PhD in economics from UC Santa Cruz.
