2nd Annual Race
The District Attorneys Office - First Judicial District and the Washington County Sheriff's Office in association with Safe Passage domestic abuse shelter in Johnson City is hosting a 5K run/walk for National Crime Victims Rights Week. Event is designed to raise awareness of victims rights and to focus on victims from Carter, Johnson, Unicoi and Washington Counties.
The 5K is open to all runners and walkers. Event t-shirt included (logo at top) in the registration for those participating in the 5K.
Victims and families of victims have the option of competing in the 5K or walking the first half. Those participants may chose to wear an event t-shirt or wear one of their own that displays a crime victim. See registration section for details.
The 5K features measured, accurate course and professional timing services by We Run Events. The course will start and finish at the George Jaynes Justice Center in Jonesborough. Every intersection along the route will be supervised by course volunteers to ensure safety and enjoyment.
STROLLERS ARE PERMITTED. Dogs are not allowed.
Justice In Motion 5K is a Road Runners Club of America sanction event.
