M&M's® Red Velvet Candy Hearts


Ingredients:

1 bag of  M&M's® Red Velvet candy

1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 bag of white chocolate chips

1/4 tsp shortening

Sprinkles (optional)

Heart shaped candy mold (silicone molds work well so you can easily pop out your candies)


Directions:

Melt semi-sweet chocolate chips for about 1 minute in microwave, stirring every 20 seconds until well melted.

When ready, spoon into candy molds. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, repeat process with the white chocolate chips, adding the shortening to help the white chocolate spread easily on top of the refrigerated chocolate.

While the white chocolate is still soft, add the M&M's® 

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before removing from the candy mold and serving.

When you pop them out of the molds, they'll be beautiful.

If the candy sits out at room temperature for too long, it may start to get soft again. If this happens, no worries, just pop them back in the fridge for a few minutes and they're good as new.
