I am a Computer Science Ph.D. student at UC Berkeley. Before coming here, I was a Ph.D. student in Computer Science Department at CMU. I am now working on "Exploring Big Visual Data" with Alexei A. Efros, and I am trying to understand our complex visual world and become a close friend with every pixel.
During my undergraduate years in Tsinghua University, I studied "Saliency Detection for High-Level Vision Tasks" with Professor Zhuowen Tu and Dr. Eric Chang at Microsoft Research Asia. I also built "Motion-Aware Video Blending" system with Professor Shi-Min Hu and Professor Ariel Shamir at Graphics Group of Tsinghua University.
In the project page, I summarized my past research projects. Please check the CV page for my academic experience. You can also download papers from the publication page.
Besides my academic life, I was involved in several international student programs aimed to build the bridge between young people from China and the world. See the misc page for details.
