About Me
I am currently Associate Professor of Philosophy (without tenure) at MIT.  I joined the MIT philosophy faculty as an assistant professor in 2009, after spending three years as a Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows. Before that I was a graduate student in philosophy at Oxford.  My research focuses on ethics.  More specifically, I've written about questions concerning the nature of moral reasons and about moral praiseworthiness and blameworthiness.  I teach courses in meta- and normative ethics, bioethics, and the philosophy of law.
