Welcome to the site of Julia G. Krivoruchko!

This page was initially intended to inform about my publications and to facilitate the access to them.

In July 2013 I decided to switch to  http://cambridge.academia.edu/JuliaKrivoruchko
and not to update this site any longer. However, as some publishers insist on not publishing your work on academia.edu, I plan to return to my old personal site.

My main research interests are:
  • language contacts, particularly involving Greek, Semitic & Slavic languages;
  • dialectology, especially Jewish Greek language varieties;
  • Judeo-Greek manuscriptology;
  • Greek Biblical translations;
  • historical lexicology and lexicography;
  • Byzantine Judaism, its history and culture;
  • computing in humanities

I graduated from the Dept. of Classics of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow  State University and taught various subjects of Hellenic and Jewish interest in the universities of Moscow, Kharkov, Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, London and other places. My recent participation in the GBBJ Project housed by the University of Cambridge  and the European Seminar on Advanced Jewish Studies has been most inspiring.

Currently I am working at Taylor-Schechter Genizah Research Unit
