I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Iowa. My research interests include the microeconomics of development and entrepreneurship in developed and developing countries, as well as migration and intra-household decision-making. 

I teach graduate labor economics and undergraduate intermediate microeconomics.

I received my Ph.D. from Yale University in 2016, and my undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
