DVBS Graduation in Talaga Baptist Church

posted May 28, 2010, 7:18 AM by JEC √   [ updated May 29, 2010, 5:36 PM ]

The last day of DVBS in Talaga, with the theme God's treasures, was intense. It was a double preparation since TBC decided to set the graduation day, instead of during the sixth day which was Saturday, to Friday afternoon, after the last class in the morning. The program was facilitated by the DVBS director in TBC, pastor Richard. It was tiring for the teachers, as well as to preparation assistants but satisfyingly happy since they all did it for the fun of glorifying our God.  About a hundred children went to graduate that day. It was a memorable day for them and some kids even wished if it can last even a week more. Though the children are a bit sad about the end of DVBS, they are looking forward towards Sunday worship were they can still meet with their teachers and their new friends through DVBS. Prayers will be greatly appreciated for continuation of this ministry and that the lessons that were taught to the children will stay with them as they grow.

Every student was excited in this grand day of celebration. There were performances from different student classes, awards giving ceremony and good foods to eat. the conducted by the DVBS director himself, Dennis Santiago. Though it will be the last day for DVBS this summer of 2010, students were not much sad that it will end since they were all invited to come during Sunday schools every Sunday morning, were they can still have fun and enjoy learning the Word of God with their new friends.

Our music ministry finally got a name!

posted May 20, 2010, 4:34 PM by JEC √

The worship team finally decided on a name for the band. They agreed to the name "SOUND CHECK", the word "check"' meaning Committed Hearts Exalting Christ the King. The purpose for the name is not for them to exalt their talents in music but to serve as a reminder for every time they play music, it is for a sole purpose, and that is to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ..
