Does the T/LC provide transportation from my child's school?
No. At this time, the T/LC does not provide any transportation from the area schools. Parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from the center. 

I work and I cannot get my child to the T/LC by 3:30PM. Are there other times that tutoring is available?
No. The last session is from 3:30PM - 4:30PM. The tutors at our center are enrolled in a class at JSU. Their class is scheduled 3:30PM - 4:30PM. Many of the tutors have courses that they must attend immediately after the tutoring sessions. In addition, the university offices close at 4:30PM, so there will be no one available to supervise the tutoring after 4:30PM. 

My child was selected for tutoring, but he/she can no longer come on the days that I marked as available on the application. Can he/she switch days?
Once tutoring for the semester has begun, it is very difficult to switch days. Your child was selected for that particular time on those specific days. It is not impossible to switch, although no guarantee will be made. If there is no tutor available on the days you would like to switch to, your child will have to drop the tutoring. Please contact the coordinator to discuss this issue. 

Where do I get a parking pass for Ramona Wood Hall?
Free parking passes are available for parents in the Learning Resource Center in 102 Ramona Wood Hall.

I feel like my child's tutor is not the best match for him/her. Can he/she switch tutors?
Because the all the tutors that we have are already matched with another student, it is difficult to switch the tutor once the semester has begun. The only way your child could switch tutors is if another student coming for tutoring drops out of the program. Please contact the coordinator to discuss this issue.

I have submitted an application online, but I have not been contacted about a spot for my child. What do I do?
If you submitted the online application, it most likely was received by the T/LC. Your child's name will be put on a waiting list. If a spot becomes available, you will be contacted. Please feel free to contact the coordinator for more information on if/when your child may be placed.  

How will I know if the T/LC is closed due to inclement weather?
If Jacksonville State University is closed, the T/LC will be closed. Please visit www.jsu.edufor updated cancellation statements. 

I can no longer bring my child to tutoring. What should I do?
Please contact the coordinator to let him know that you will no longer require tutoring services for your child.
