About Detachment 006

Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 006 is an educational program designed to give men and women the opportunity to become an Air Force officer while completing a degree. The AFROTC program is designed to prepare you to assume positions of increasing responsibility and importance in the Air Force. AFROTC offers commissions to graduates at hundreds of institutions throughout the continental United States.

Our intent is to produce effective officers for the United States Air Force, to attract highly qualified and motivated students to The Jackson State University AFROTC progam and to enhance the leadership skills of our cadets so they’ll graduate with the knowledge, character, and skills needed to succeed in tomorrow's Air Force.

We invite you to contact any of our cadre members for your comments, questions and/or concerns.
