Biography

I am a postdoc researcher at Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, University of Oulu, Finland and work in the Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis (CMVS) Group. Before that I received my Ph.D degree in the Institute of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition, Department of Electronics and Information Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong Univeristy, China, in Jul. 2015 and B.E degree from the Special Class for the Gifted Young in Electronic Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong Univeristy. From Aug. 2015 to Mar. 2017, I was working as a Researcher at Innovative Technology Center, China Academy of Electronics and Information Technology. From May 2017, I moved to University of Oulu as a postdoc researcher.

My research interests lie at computer vision and machine learning. Specific interests include image processing and pattern recognition algorithms about human face. Some popular approaches are utilized in research, such as dictionary learning, sparse representation, kernel method, subspace learning and deep learning. The research work mainly consists of :

· Super-resolution methods for low-resolution face image.

· Low-resolution face image/expression/emotion analysis algorithms.

· Image inpainting and restoration.

· Remote heart activity analysis and disease detection from face videos.
