You'll never wear it again, but we might!
W.H.S. Theatre happily accepts tax-deductible donations (clothing, furniture, tools, household items, etc.) to add to our stock for future productions. Drop off items to W. H.S. Room 12.
Because our storage space is extremely limited, we can only accept items in good working/wearing condition. Items that are unlikely to be useful in the near future are delivered to local donation centers to benefit someone else.

WHAT IS W.H.S. THEATRE?
Wayne Local Schools is known not only for the outstanding education students receive, but also for extra-curricular activities that guide students in developing skills outside the classroom. Using this model, the W.H.S. Theatre program seeks to meet the following goals:
- Provide students with opportunities for performance and technical theatre that challenge and extend their creativity.
- Make connections between theatre, other classroom content areas, and life experiences.
- Encourage a lifelong appreciation for theatre arts.
W.H.S. Theatre produces two full-length productions each year: a play in the fall and a musical in the spring. Productions are selected with a four-year vision to provide students with opportunities to participate in a variety of performance styles and play genres.
Recent productions include:
2008-2009 The Dining Room, The Pajama Game
2009-2010 Faith County, Seussical
2010-2011 Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, Zombie Prom
2011-2012 Fools, Once on this Island
2012-2013 The Learned Ladies, Honk!
LOCATION AND TICKETS
W.H.S. Theatre productions are held in the Waynesville Middle School Auditorium (W.M.S. gymnasium) at 723 Dayton Rd.
Tickets for W.H.S. Theatre productions are available in advance . They may ordered through cast members and may be purchased at W.H.S. during school hours or at the box office starting one hour before each show. Adult tickets are $8. Students and seniors are $5.
SUPPORT-WE NEED YOU!
By purchasing sponsorships in the production programs and through your generous donations, we are able to offset production expenses while keeping tickets affordable.
There are many ways to show your support through a contribution. Businesses may purchase advertisements ranging in size and cost from $30 to $300. Individual donors at any amount are listed as "Spartan Star Patrons" in the program. You can even purchase a message for your favorite cast or crew member to see! If you'd like to make a greater contribution, consider a "top-billing" role as an official producer!
Download a sponsorship brochure (available in the "Downloads" menu above in September) or contact director Jason Hamen at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about supporting W.H.S. Theatre.
Since 1989, W.H.S. Troupe #4558 of the International Thespian Society has inducted over 150 members who have dedicated their time to service and learning in theatre arts.
Membership is based on the I.T.S. point system, equivalent to 100 hours of performance and technical theatre!
Troupe #4558 attends Ohio area and state Thespian conferences, recognizes "Honor Thespians" for continued achievement, awards an annual scholarship, and promotes the benefits of theatre arts in our academic and cultural communities.
Muselin Memorial Scholarship
This new scholarship opportunity is named for Linn Muselin ('90) and is awarded to a student who has shown leadership in and commitment to W.H.S. Drama. Linn was a charter member of Thespian Troupe #4558, served as the troupe's first president, and created sets for W.H.S. Drama productions. Anyone wishing to contribute to the scholarship may contact Director Jason Hamen for more details.
