Short Biography:
J. Senthilnath received the Bachelor of Engineering and the Master of Technology in the Department of Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University and the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. His Ph.D research was funded by MHRD, Government of India and supported by ISRO. He was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. Subsequently, he was selected as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Geospatial Sciences Center of Excellence, USA. His Postdoctoral research is funded by a NASA Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences. Currently, he is working as a Research Fellow in School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

My research interests include
  • Satellite remote sensing - disaster monitoring, land surface phenology and agriculture monitoring
  • UAV remote sensing - vegetation analysis and power monitoring
  • Resource management - peer-to-peer synchronization of UAVs and UGVs
  • Machine learning - neural network and swarm intelligence
