J. Senthilnath received the Ph.D. degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, India. In the course of his career, he has been assigned several key appointments, including the ISRO Space Technology Cell Fellowship and the NASA Space and Earth Sciences Fellowship. He was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is currently a Scientist with the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore.

    His research has led to over 73 publications, 1 patent and contributed several new tools for ISRO [disaster monitoring], NASA [phenology product] and ST Engineering Ltd. [multiagent software product]. His current research interests include designing new AI technologies like online learning, reinforcement learning and dynamic optimization in autonomous systems and satellite/drone data.   

    Dr. Senthilnath was a recipient of several honors, including the IJIDF Best Paper Award, the ISRS Best Paper Award, the ICISP Best Paper Award, and the INCA Best Paper Award. He has also contributed as a program committee member in several international conferences. He is the Organizing Chair of the ninth IEEE SSCI. He is the Co-Chair of the IEEE CIRS. He is a Guest Editor of a special issue on "Computational Intelligence and Advances Learning techniques in Remote Sensing" in IEEE JSTARS.

  • Adaptive Intelligence (AI): dynamic optimization, reinforcement learning and online learning.
  • Autonomous systems AI: predictive maintenance, multiagent systems, perception and decision-making model.
  • Satellite/Drone AI: disaster monitoring, phenology modelling and smart cities
