I am a Senior Economist at the World Bank Group, and PhD in Econometrics (2024) at VU Amsterdam. Before that I obtained my master's degree in Economic Research (2016) and Economics (2015) from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra . In 2012, I received my bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad Catolica Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo in Chiclayo, Peru.
My research focuses on applied econometrics and causal inference, with particular emphasis on developing and applying econometric methods to estimate the causal effects of policy interventions in the presence of unobserved heterogeneity, latent factor structures, and other sources of endogeneity. Substantively, I study how market, regulatory, and fiscal reforms affect firm behavior, productivity, competition, and economic growth using large-scale microeconomic and firm-level data. At the World Bank Group, I combine econometric research with policy analysis to generate evidence that informs the design and evaluation of development policies and market reforms.
