JQSA (Josiah Quincy School Association)

The Josiah Quincy School Association, formed in 2002, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of our children by providing enrichment programs. JQSA raises funds to provide its students with great programs that will not continue without your support:
  • Swimming. A dynamic swim program includes children with a wide range of physical abilities, enhances physical fitness in an era of epidemic childhood obesity, and provides lifelong skills and health.  The swim program lets JQS fully utilize its pool, ensuring that children have physical education weekly, instead of bi-weekly if only the gym were used.
  • Field trips. Educational field trips expose our predominantly low income, inner city children to places they might not otherwise visit. The trips bring classroom lessons  to life.
  • Cultural enrichment.  Music and visual arts provide a well-rounded curriculum. We work with school administrators and teachers to fill gaps left by budget cuts.
