The Josiah Quincy School Association, formed in 2002, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of the students of the Josiah Quincy Elementary School by providing enrichment programs. JQSA raises funds to provide its students with great programs that otherwise would not happen. In these times of budget cuts we need your help more than ever.
- Swimming. A dynamic swim program includes children with a wide range of physical abilities, enhances physical fitness in an era of epidemic childhood obesity, and provides lifelong skills and health. The swim program lets JQES fully utilize its pool and ensures that children have physical education weekly.
- Library Computer Lab. JQSA works closely with the administration to help raise funds for the computer lab in the library.
- Field trips. Educational field trips expose our predominantly low income, inner city children to places they might not otherwise visit. The trips bring classroom lessons to life.
- Cultural enrichment. Music and visual arts provide a well-rounded curriculum. We work with school administrators and teachers to fill gaps left by budget cuts.
