About Me

Greetings! I am an assistant professor of the Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering (by courtesy) at Purdue University. I obtained my Ph.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019, and my advisor is Prof. Heng Huang. Prior to this, I received my bachelor degree in bioinformatics from Zhejiang University in 2013.

My research focuses on machine learning and biomedical data science. I am particularly interested in designing novel deep neural networks to improve interpretability, fairness, and robustness, as well as the application in the early diagnosis of chronic diseases. [Google My Citations]

I am looking for highly self-motivated Ph.D. students to work on emerging challenges in Machine/Deep Learning and/or Biomedical Data Science. Please send me your CV and transcripts if you are interested.
