I am an industrial economist with extensive academic experience. Currently, I am visiting the Department of Economics and Business at the UPF in Barcelona. Since 1998, I have held academic positions at Aarhus University, the University of Surrey, University of Cologne, Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods (Bonn), European University Institute (Florence), and Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB). I have been teaching at the universities of Aarhus, Surrey, Cologne, Bonn, Bologna, and Humboldt University Berlin.

My research interests are in the areas of industrial organization and regulatory economics, and contract theory and incentives, as well as quantitative marketing, financial accounting and strategy. Current research analyzes the microeconomics of innovation, information acquisition and aggregation in imperfectly competitive markets, and incentive regulation of network industries.

My teaching experience includes developing and teaching courses in Microeconomics, Game Theory, Industrial Organization, Economics of Antitrust and Regulation, Economics of Marketing, Strategies for the Digital Economy, and Experimental Economics at various levels and study programs. Further, I have supervised numerous theses at all levels.
