Our group will move to the Institute of Integrative Biology at ETH Zurich, starting September 1st, 2017. We are currently searching for two outstanding Ph.D. students to study the evolution of promoter complexity. The projects are quantitative in nature, combining data from functional genomics with computational modeling. They are also intentionally open-ended, so each student will gain experience identifying and addressing open research questions. Applicants with backgrounds in the life sciences, bioinformatics, mathematics, computer science, or physics are encouraged to apply. Highly competitive funding is available for up to four years. To apply, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with "Application for Ph.D. position" in the subject line. Please include your CV and a brief research statement, highlighting why you think you'd be a good fit for the group.
We are always looking for motivated Master's students. We have several projects available relating to the evolution of transcriptional regulatory programs. We are also happy to help mold a new project around the student's interests. If you would like to join the group, please send an email to email@example.com with "Potential Master's project" in the subject line. In your email, please include your CV and indicate why you'd like to join the group.
