Jorge Sabat

Jorge Sabat is currently an Assistant Professor in Finance at the Universidad Andrés Bello (Chile). He studied his doctorate in the Olin Business School - Washington University in St. Louis. His research focuses on household finance, macro-finance and structural econometrics. He has published in the Journal of Financial Economics, The World Bank Working Papers, and St. Louis FED In the Balance .

Jorge has been a consultant for The World Bank, and worked as Head of Fixed Income and Asset Allocation at The Principal Financial Group. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Adolfo Ibañez University (Chile) in 2010, a M.S. in Financial Engineering from the same university in 2012, and earned his doctorate in 2019.
