Jorge Sabat

Jorge Sabat is currently an Assistant Professor in Finance at the Universidad Andrés Bello (Chile). He studied his doctorate in the Olin Business School - Washington University in St. Louis. His research focuses on household finance, macro-finance and structural econometrics. He has published in the Journal of Financial Economics, The World Bank Working Papers, and St. Louis FED In the Balance .

Jorge has been an Assistant Professor at Universidad Diego Portales, consultant for The World Bank, and worked as Head of Fixed Income and Asset Allocation at The Principal Financial Group. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Adolfo Ibañez University (Chile) in 2010, a M.S. in Financial Engineering from the same university in 2012, and earned his doctorate in 2019.
