Good Day to whomever is reading this.
My name is Jordi Glenn Thompson. I was born on June 9th, 1997. Upon meeting me, you will probably realise that I am not Chilean, in fact, I was born in New Zealand.
I am currently studying in the Universidad de San Sebastián, Concepción, in where I also live. I enjoy doing a great many activities during my day, mostly reading, playing games, talking to friends, studying English and Spanish, teaching part time (as my job) as well as going for leisurely strolls around Concepción, usually around "parque o'higgins" where the best hot chips are sold.
I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I arrived in Chile. I had no idea what I wanted to do for the longest time in my life and I started to feel really down about it. I thought that a new change in scenery would help me discover what I wanted to do, so I decided to move to Chile when I was 18 years old in order to be "struck with inspiration' so to speak. And, funnily enough, it did work. Now I have always enjoyed helping people, and upon seeing the education standard for Chile, I became rather passionate about the situation, I want as many people to learn and have as many oppurtunities as possible, and I figured the best way to do that was to become a teacher. Specifically on my strongest subject: English.
I already teach English part time as was afformentioned above, which is why I currently *know* I will do a good job at it. I absolutely love this job with all my heart and I want to do what's best for me, my students and this country. I enjoy Chile and I think it's a good place (despite all the current hardships), which is why I will continute to strive to do what I believe, is best.
