I am an  Assistant Professor at the School of Management, Universidad de los Andes. My research aims to understand the impact of socio-economic systems on the environment by analyzing the flows and metabolism of resources (i.e., materials, water, and energy) and underlying factors governing them, using interdisciplinary approaches that link technology, economics, management, and policy. I have focused particularly on industrial and waste resources, addressing issues of value recognition, innovation for reuse technologies, reuse behaviors within and across industries, and inter-firm resource sharing. My research interests also include urban sustainability as well as systems modeling.

I received my Ph.D. in environmental studies from Yale University and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in environmental engineering from Civil, Urban, and Geosystems Engineering at Seoul National University.
